Inspiration
Many Latin American Institutions do not provide an online way to provide certificates to students. Additionally, there are no systems they can use to ensure their students that their certificates can be recognized anywhere in the world.
What it does
This system allows us that a person can demonstrate to an organization that he has the necessary credentials to be able to carry out a job.
Blockchain provides us with this tool for the validation of NFTs. Thirdweb helps us with the generation of different types of NFTs that helps institutions or organizations at an international level have the power to validate a certificate.
How we built it
Using the Thirweb libraries and Next JS, it has been possible to create a solution that allows recovery and mine the credentials that the institutions generate for their users. For this MVP, the Solana network will be used as the initial blockchain that will store the corresponding NFTs
Challenges we ran into
A primary challenge was not finding a team with whom to work on this solution.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Today in the development of blockchain solutions, it is essential to use three-party libraries which do not allow an enterprise-type solution. For this hackathon, I got more involved in the Thirdweb library and understood the options Solana generates as a blockchain.
What we learned
Despite my experience, something important that I learned is to remember that you should be afraid of new technologies or frameworks, all these companies have a team that helps you understand their product as well as a community that collaborates with you, and that makes it possible for us to create solutions putting community first.
What's next for Credentials Vitae
Convert it to a multichain solution and membership support for access to education and student support, mediate fidelity tokens for supporters and ambassadors, and build it to a DAO to ensure the correct decisions.
