Inspiration

The lack of sustainable and eco-friendly apps in the cruise industry has served as our inspiration to develop a groundbreaking solution. We're driven by the vision of creating an app that not only enhances the cruise experience but also promotes sustainability and responsible tourism.

What it does

Cruiseconnect is a convenient cruise app that simplifies the ticketing process for cruise passengers. With Cruiseconnect, you can securely store your purchased cruise tickets within the app. When it's time to board the ship, simply open the app and present your ticket's QR code to the cruise staff. They can then scan the code directly from the app, allowing for a quick and hassle-free check-in experience. This feature is compatible with any cruise company, making it versatile and applicable to various cruise lines. Cruiseconnect ensures that your ticketing process is efficient, organized, and easily accessible right from your smartphone.

How we built it

We used Javascript as the lanague and react native as the framework. This framework allows us to build our program on different app platofroms like android, IOS or the web.

Challenges we ran into

Some challeneges we came across in this hackaton is brain storming ideas for our app because we needed to know what would be right for the app. Also managing our time to work together because many of us are free at different so we had to find a way to work together at the same time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We've successfully completed the design phase of our app on Figma, creating all the necessary pages and interfaces. Our team has invested significant time and effort into crafting an intuitive and visually appealing user experience.

What we learned

We've learned how to efficiently manage different pages within our app. Through careful organization and planning, we've optimized the user flow and navigation, ensuring a seamless experience for our users. Also Cruiseconnect taught us the value of effective teamwork. We've learned to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate efforts to achieve our goals.

What's next for CruiseConnect

Building upon our comprehensive design work, we're now moving forward with the development of a functional prototype. This prototype will allow us to showcase the app's core features, interactions, and demonstrate its value to stakeholders, potential investors, and users.
