Inspiration
We were inspired by the struggle faced by many new crypto investors trying navigate the highly complex field of crypto investing and where to put their money.
What it does
We provide real time ratings for cryptocurrencies so you can make better decisions on your crypto investments. This is based on URLs currently, with a future goal to have Crypto Buddy react to on-screen content. Our ratings are powered by Hawk Ratings.
How we built it
We built this using OpenAI API, Hawk, and Node.js. Design-work was done in Figma.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge we faced was getting data from Hawk. There were many issues we faced while trying to get data from Hawk's endpoint.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I think the UI came out really well. As well as the integration with ChatGPT that analyzes our data and provides key insights as to what makes an investment good/bad.
What we learned
I think the biggest piece of learning was integrating dynamic data into the chrome extension.
What's next for Crypto Buddy
We want to explore the ability to scrape web pages and provide real time updates
