Inspiration

In the existing Crowdfunding platforms, security isn't ensured .money from The investors has gone into the wrong campaigns and has been misused. Crowdfunding social platforms have been enabling environments for scammers and bogus donation claims. So keeping all that in mind we created Crypto Fundraiser, a blockchain-powered crowdfunding platform

What it does

Blockchain technology offers a clear advantage for the crowdfunding industry, bringing transparency and security to the space and protecting both creators and donors in these interactions. Fundraisers allow organizations to test new products to measure market acceptance and viability before committing funds to further development by a voting system which safeguards the Investor's interest. The spending Request gets finalized by the Entrepreneur/campaign creator. The voting system used is decentralized as blockchain technology is used in implementing it. This makes the voting system more secure and also cost-efficient while guaranteeing the voters' privacy. The campaign creator will be able to finalize the payment once the required votes are obtained. In this, the security is increased and also the contributors' opinion is taken. Metamask allows running Ethereum decentralized applications in the browser itself without running a full Ethereum node is a self-hosted wallet to store, send and receive Ethereum or ERC20 tokens.

Challenges we ran into

This was our first time integrating Metamask wallet and its transactions with the frontend.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A fully functional Metamask wallet transaction between Investors and Campaign creator. A decentralized voting system to safeguard the voters' privacy

What's next for Crypto Fundraiser

Future works will aim to find a way to verify the Ethereum accounts whether it may be Metamask or MyEtherWallet(Ethereum wallet similar to metamask) accounts with help of a government id so that one person cannot have more than one account and also make sure that a person is able to contribute as many times he/she wants so that the Crowdfunding using blockchain becomes more secure and reliable.
