Inspiration

With the ocean of information and data available in the finance sector, one field which is relatively overlooked by the general population of our country, INDIA, is the cryptocurrency market. We observed that the number of crypto investors in our nation is way less when compared to equity or commodity market investors. Thus, with the purpose of creating awareness about crypto, we started with the development of 'crypto buzz', a comprehensive platform for all the updates, information, and news about the crypto world

What it does

Cryptobuzz is a comprehensive website that provides users with all-out information, updates, and news regarding all the cryptocurrencies in the world. It also shows the top 10 currencies according to their estimated market cap and also the total market valuation of all the cryptocurrencies. Cryptobuzz also provides the user with the feature of real-time data/price tracking. The website can be a wonderful tool for intraday, short-term or long-term trading in crypto. It also shows a graphical representation to enable the end user to compare various trends and trade accordingly.

How we built it

We built the app using the following languages, and framework

  • React
  • Chart.js
  • Redux
  • Rapid API

Challenges we ran into

The trickiest part about the development of 'CryptoBuzz' was the integration of RapidAPI. The reason behind this being this was our first experience with handling real-time data, and also feeding it to Chart.js concurrently.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Real-time data analysis was a very proud moment for our team as this was our first exposure towards web scraping, rather than data retrieval from a database.

What we learned

We learned how to Integrate API into our Project and got to learn about Redux and its syntax. Learned a lot about Redux and RapidAPI but implemented it the first time.

What's next for CryptoBuzz

We aspire to add various functionalities of trend analysis and integrate a python based ml prediction model to further help the user with powerful data analysis and various candlestick charts based on dow theory and much more.
