Inspiration

In the theme of valentine's weekend, we wanted to spread the love between people. Recent events inspired us to create a platform for people to learn about different cultures by experiencing it from people of different cultural backgrounds.

What it does

It allows first time users to register/login to our app. Then the users are proceeded to the main dashboard which shows the posts from people. It allows users to post about their interests- what they want to learn/ if they/their family want to be hosted and it allows other people to view the posts made.

How we built it

We used python's flask library for our backend server to store the posts and manage registration. We used android studio to make an android app. We incorporated nessie's api to make charity donations from the app.

Challenges we ran into

Dealing with the registration system and trying to implement api's by sponsors

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to make a decent UI in the spirit of love and sharing. We also finished the main focus of the app making sure it did everything we wanted it to do.
