Inspiration

managing all my assignments from multiple sources is a pain

What it does

upload images of pdfs of various assignment sources gradescope zybooks gcal coursesite course syllabus course schedule etc

How we built it

python fastapi backend serves static html/js/css frontend, ai processing calls for reading images and extracting event details is openai api requests to gpt-4o. use aws rds and ec2 for hosting.

Challenges we ran into

tried to use aws s3 buckets for file storage and profile pictures but the way the workshop stuff with aws was setup kept resetting my account and i lost access to our bucket so we just skipped that part because it wasnt vital.
