💡 Inspiration: While I was on a run to burn off excessive Thanksgiving calories, I noticed so many appliances, sports equipment, and other items left along curbsides. Seems like people are getting new things for the holidays LOL! Some items were actually in very good quality. In fact, I would not mind taking home that one stationary exercise bike I saw!

🧩 What it does: Curbside Miners allows users to upload images of items they find in their neighborhood. All they need to include is a name of the item and the location. Those who cannot afford to buy new things can also visit Curbside Miners to find necessities.

🛠️ How I built it: I build the platform using HTML, CSS, and JS.

😑 Challenges I ran into: I have not made a website in a while, so it was really tough trying to put everything together. It was not easy creating a system to make the images different sizes.

🤗 Accomplishments that I'm proud of: I'm really glad I was able to think of this idea of recycling goods! Often times the leftover commodities are damaged by the weather because nobody picks them up. With Curbside Miners, people can find these goods immediately and reduce the number that end up in the landfill.

🧠 What I learned: This was my first time building an application that involves file upload! I learned how to grab extraneous images and employ them into the website.

🔮 What's next for Curbside Miners: Perhaps in the future there will really be a Curbside Miners community. In that case, there would need to be a login page.
