Inspiration
The most important time of day is the morning because how you start the day usually sets a tone for the rest of the day. Most people wake up to social media, which can be mentally draining, and a bad way to start the day. Our goal was to create something that would bring a positive start to the day, so we can up with Daily ZEN
What it does
Provides access to zen drawing (symmetric sketching), zen quotes, zen breathing, and positive zen news (in progress)
How we built it
We used HTML, JS, CSS to build a webpage and then deployed it using github pages. Zen quotes is powered by the Zen Quotes APO, and zen news is powered by News API.
Challenges we ran into
Getting the api to work locally was a challenge because usually they require a server to host, and we didn't know backend. Thankfully, there were some options to call without the need of a server. Collaborating on the design was also difficult as integrating our different parts presented challenges.
