Inspiration
The web3 world is a wild-wild-west and despite claims of transparency, many decision processes are still very opaque despite being "onchain". As enthusiasts of Decentralised Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), we know the kind of features that would be desirable yet unsupported in similar platforms. Given a chance to make information more accessible for the everyone and level the playing field - Why not? :)
What it does
DAOmatians is a DAO visualization dashboard that provides interesting and comprehensive visuals to users who wish to know more about current DAO trends. Furthermore, one can also examine the voting processes behind a DAO and potential locate both good/bad actors. There are also graphing tools to help users gain potential insights into DAO spaces and how different members are related to other DAOs.
How we built it
Languages
- Next.js - The React Framework for Production
Frameworks and Libraries
- SWR - React Hooks for Data Fetching
- GraphQL - Data Query and Manipulation Language for APIs
- Chakra UI - UI Components for React Apps
- recharts - React library for making charts (line, bar, etc.)
- react-d3-graph - React library for making graphs in D3
Challenges we ran into
* Having to deal with data fetch delays that impede the user experience.
* Learning how to develop interactive network graphs in React.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to build a cool visualization dashboard that may potentially help DAO enthusiasts gain better understanding as well as develop further insights on DAOs.
