Inspiration
People love to watch movies at sleepovers, so the most natural project was something that made movies even better by adding an activity to them.
What it does
After users connect to the lobby and input their dares, the movie displays them every time a keyword is said. That keyword is chosen from a list of recommended words generated by the ai program. To get the times the words are said, our ai processes movies in real time and generates subtitles and timestamps. When the keyword is said, the movie pauses and shows off a random dare.
How we built it
Javascript for the frontend and an Amazon EC2 with a CGI interface for the backend. We used python and Open AI Whisper

We didn't have a solid plan of what was actually important for the MVP

We were able to learn some new technologies and spent a lot more time than we thought we could on coding.
