Having been a day worker myself, I know what it's like to try to earn an honest living looking for work on a daily
basis in order to survive. Today, Sam and I are fortunate to be able to help people who are living under those
circumstances by applying what we have learned in school and provide them with some of the resources that we
hope will make their search for jobs easier.
This app will allow day workers to login and create an account through the database of the Day Worker Center.
This will allow them to display the skills they have, upload photographs of recent jobs, inform potential employers ## how long they have been members of the organization and where they live.
We decided to use Android Studio because we are a bit familiar with the software and we want the day workers to ## have this tool available on their smart phones.
With minimum knowledge of Android Studio and very little experience in creating databases we were able to create the phone app that we had envisioned.
We would like to add a rating system for the workers so that they can receive feedback from the employer. This rating system will be public and anyone looking to hire them will have reassurance of the quality of work they will be provided.
