Inspiration

NFTs are awesome 💸, but what's the fun in owning 30,000 ERC20 tokens instead of a sweet dog JPEG?

What it does

Defragment.art enables Fractional vault curators to create new derivative NFTs mintable by fraction holders by providing a Fractional Vault address and the minimum number of fractions required to mint a derivative NFT.

How we built it

We built defragment.art using React, useDapp, dapptools, Hardhat, Solidity, and some inspiration from Windows 98.

Challenges we ran into

• Interacting with the Fractional.art contracts without a frontend on Rinkeby.
• Working with the initializable proxy pattern and upgradeable contracts for the first time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating a functional demo in a little over a day.

What we learned

Working with a proxy contract is easier than we originally thought and it saves us a ton of gas!

What's next for Defrag

If we win a prize, we might be able to afford to deploy it to mainnet. 🤑
