Inspiration

Three years ago I've read these two articles:

To test the assertions, I asked 7 dentists for opinion in my case. I got 7 different and opposing dental treatment recommendations. Since then I was on a quest to get a verified dental diagnosis I can trust.

Everyone knows that the world is in a virus pandemic. However, we are also in caries pandemic for decades now. Over 30% of population has active caries. Over 50% of population suffers from some oral condition. We would be able to eliminate large portion of it if we had better control of how we are trying to eliminate it. We need to start actively ensuring that oral care is provided adequately, timely and accurately.

What it does

Denther gamifies dentists to provide the most accurate diagnosis. The platform then sources the latest scientific knowledge to make a therapy recommendation.

Patients can get a diagnosis with results that match the diagnostic outcome of the best clinical examiners providing the most thorough examination. Without the 28% risk of intentional fraud and for a fraction of the cost.
Dentists are rewarded for correct diagnosis with reputation points and increased revenues.
Insurance companies can eliminate insurance fraud and decrease the risk of secondary pathologies and complications down the line.
Governments can increase oral health of population while decreasing the general cost of dental service.

How I built it

The underlying solution is based on game theory. It bids anonymous ordinary dentists one against others (like in Prisoner's Dilemma) to try and give the correct diagnosis.

My team built it over the last 4 months as a web application with funding from Croatian Government and EU funding. To built it we used Figma for prototyping, dotnet, bootstrap and typescript for develpment.
