The NextGen Devpost

As a regualr user of DevPost platform, I have some ideas to implement in the site. Though every idea is not a path breaking one, it improves the site exeperience for sure.

Inspiration

Here's a chance to hack the website where other hackers use it, what kind of other inspiration can be asked. If the idea makes any positive impact on how the fellow developers/hackers use the site, then that's itself a great inspiration.

What it does

This project suggests some ideas to improve the users' exeperince in all the stages of a hackathon like Pre - Hackathon stage On - Hackathon stage Post - Hackathon stage

However, the ideas may or may not be directly useful, it all depends on the current user trends and statics of devpost like how the users interacting with site, what is drop rate etc. Please go through the PPT and guided video of PPT

How we built it

All ideas are turned into a ppt handboook, ideas are turned to mockups using figma and canvas. Studied and gone through almost 10 other hackathon websites like hackerrank, hackerearth etc and did a benchmarking.

Challenges we ran into

As a newbie in creating mockups for the ideas, I took sometime to learn the things like figma and canva.

What we learned

Learnt designing an idea using the UI design tools. Gained some experience in the tools.

What's next for DevPost NG - DevPost NextGen

If any of the suggested idea gets life, and turned into a feature of devpost, then it will be next big thing for me.
