Inspiration
Everyday, food trucks around UT move to different locations, often leaving students unsure of where they are or when they are open. With our app, all of the information for these food trucks will be easily available, helping both students and owners get what they want. Also, food truck owners are able to better connect with their customers by ensuring that they can be found.
What it does
Owners can create their account and update their food truck's information from its name, menu choices, location, and description. Students can access this information with an interactive map.
How we built it
React Native, Node.js, and Expo
Challenges we ran into
Lots of errors, design and implementation arguments, and a huge learning curve.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Starting with little JavaScript knowledge, we were able to build a fully-functional app in less than 24 hours.
What we learned
Pretty much the entire tech stack, collaborative skills, and design choices.
What's next for Dhaba
We seek to scale the app beyond the Austin area to other universities and cities.
