Inspiration

We are inspired by the Dino Luzzi energy drink and how powerful AI is nowadays. As UF students, we would love to challenge and improve ourselves through different questions regarding our academics. So, we are passionate about building something that could help us to achieve this goal.

What it does

Dino Corp can generate different types of questions such as MCQ, True False, or free response with related given subject. Once the questions were generated, users could choose to make it more difficult or easier depending on their preference. Or they could also download the questions into a docx and save them to their local space.

How we built it

We built it with React, JavaScript, and OpenAI API. Each element is essential to Dino Corp because all of the UI and backend data are related.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge that we ran into was that we were unable to find an OpenAI API key to use. However, we were lucky and able to find someone that allowed us to use the API key for free. Which fundamentally helped to achieve this project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One accomplishment we were proud of is definitely how we finished Dino Corp within 13 hours. We were at a disadvantage because of the challenge we faced. We were unable to resolve it until almost 9 pm with help from our friend (OpenAI API key). With the API key, we worked hard and were able to finish the project in a shorter time compared to most people.

What we learned

Everyone in our group learned something new. It might be a new language, a new way to set up React, or maybe a new knowledge about AI integration.

What's next for Dino Corp

The next step for Dino Corp is to improve its functionality and get it hooked up to a server. Because we are under a time constraint, we are unable to make it live and host on a server. When we get the time after OSC a hackathon, our goal is to try to host it on a server if possible.
