Inspiration
The Technology which TV industry is using has become kind of out of date, due to very little emphasis given on the expansion of consumer experience, and lack of automatic targeting of the advertisements.
There isn’t still a smooth way which could inculcate targeted Advertisements which are relevant to the customer and Video Commerce using Over The Top technology.
What it does
We have built DishVR which would be the first ever VR streamed channel or content to be introduced by the Dish TV. This innovation could bring about a change in how TVs and OTTs work as of today. This would create a dynamic environment according to the content that person is streaming and the advertisements will be extensively targeted to the audience depending on the content they are watching.
How we built it
We have built is using a Gaming Engine Unity, as well as Blender 3D. This will be Android Application supportable to all devices. The languages used in this is C Sharp(Used in Unity).
Challenges we ran into
Most of things went great, in the last hours, there were some SDK errors, but with the guidance of the mentor, we could resolve all of them. We tried to make the Alexa Skills, for Voice Based Discovery using AI and ML, but we experience limitations. The Alexa Skill could be connected to the VR Application to stream the discovered content directly on the VR Application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to make the full working proof of concept, which could be used by Dish TV to disrupt the present TV and Advertising industries.

We learned that nothing is impossible, if we have the dedication. Team effort is what keep you together and work going even in toughest times!
What's next for DishVR
DishVR is a proof of concept, which could be further inculcated with Alexa Skills, so when a user is recommended by Alexa after Voice Search Discovery, the particular content could be streamed through VR Application.
