Inspiration

Monetizing content on any social media platform is a hassle be it Youtube or Reddit. Reddit does not provide any monetary benefit to its creators and YouTube has its criteria to be fulfilled before one starts monetization. We faced this problem ourselves. So, to make it easy for a creator starting out in its content creation journey. We wanted to make the path easier by helping them in Monetizing and reaching out to their audience.

What it does

Community plays a vital role in DiverseHQ. Once you connect your wallet, A user can create/join a relevant community on the platform to Post their Content. On Every piece of Content posted on the platform, the Creator Earns $Dive Tokens on the basis of post Engagement(i.e. on the basis of Likes & comments). The post is being stored on the ipfs using web3.storage. Other Users can Super Comment(that is tip a creator with a message) on the post or can back their fav creator by directly transferring $DIVE.

DiverseHQ aims to be the open media platform where people can create their Content and monetize it. An ideal platform where the creator owns his content.

An open Media platform owned by the creator and Community while providing the best user Experience.

How we built it

We used Nextjs for the Frontend and Solidity for Smart Contract development. Used libraries including Ethers, Hardhat, Web3.storage, Rainbow Kit and Tailwind CSS.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the Challenges we ran into are:

  • User Experience - Most DAPPs face UX problems but we Improved user experience by adding the like and post features on ipfs and the Token Transactions on the polygon Network.
  • User Interface - Had to struggle with creating the best User interface as both the team members were developers trying their hands for the first time using Figma.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we managed to deploy an MVP. Where creators can start their journey and start monetizing their content from the first post itself.

What we learned

We learned a lot of things. From Smart contract development, deployment and frontend integration to getting all the components together and making the Site Live.

What's next for DiverseHQ

In the future, we hope to add more functionality to our DAPP by enabling Post on-chain feature, Gasless Transactions and a way for creators to Fractionalize the NFT Ownership.
