Inspiration
I’m a student ambassador for a fintech company, and that experience has made me deeply passionate about financial literacy. I wanted to create something simple that helps people learn the basics of money management in an engaging way.
What it does
FinLearn makes learning about personal finance fun and accessible. Through multiple-choice quizzes and practical money tips, users can improve their financial literacy one question at a time.
How I built it
I built FinLearn using Python and Replit AI. The app runs in the terminal and combines quizzes with random finance tips at the end of each session.
Challenges I ran into
One challenge was creating enough quality finance questions. My personal finance knowledge was limited, so I used Replit AI to help generate accurate and educational quiz content. It was fascinating to learn through the process of teaching others.
Accomplishments that I’m proud of
I’m proud that I turned a small idea into a working finance education app. I designed it from scratch, kept it simple and interactive, and made something that anyone can use to learn.
What I learned
I learned how to structure Python programs effectively using lists, dictionaries, and functions. I also discovered how AI tools can complement human creativity — especially in areas where my knowledge is limited. Most importantly, I learned that even small projects can make a big impact when built with purpose.
What’s next for FinLearn - Finance Education Quiz App
Next, I plan to:
Add difficulty levels for the quizzes (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
Save user scores to track progress
Introduce a daily finance tip mode
Eventually expand FinLearn into a simple web or mobile version
Built With
- python
- replit
