Inspiration

Something like twitter, except for programmers!

What it does

Allows users to create/view posts. ask questions, and make announcements about their projects, and so much more!

How we built it

I used Django for the backend, and React with Next.js and tailwind for the frontend. *Why use all of this? - Unlike apps built in plain html/css/js this will allow my website to grow, and handle larger amounts of users.

Challenges we ran into

Authentication Prevent injection of javascript into posts. Making the website look good.

What we learned

This was my first experience with tailwind.css (so the styling is not very good, but I learned a lot!)

What's next for Dogecode

Hosting it (I unfortunately did not have enough time to do it today.) Adding more features, like thumbs up/down and replies to posts.
