DoorTroll
DoorTroll allows you to unlock your door without needing your key. On campus, we found this situation arises if you for example have a partner whom you share a room with, but you can't make copies of your key.
What we're excited about:
- our first hardware hack
- Jaykar wrote the facial identification library from scratch based on research papers he found online
- 3D printing our parts (box and spool)
- trying to keep the stack simple by having all logic done on the Edison, including running a web server and controlling moving parts like a stepper motor.
