Inspiration
Administrators spend a significant amount of time manually scheduling meetings, tracking tasks, and managing follow-ups. Existing tools either lack automation or are costly for smaller organizations. Inspired by this inefficiency, we set out to build a cost-effective AI-powered Digital PA system that streamlines administrative tasks and supports multi-language communication for Singapore’s diverse workforce.
What it does
Our AI-powered assistant helps users: Manage tasks and meetings via chatbot commands. Detect scheduling conflicts and suggest available time slots. Summarize emails and generate action points using AI. Send automated reminders for tasks and follow-ups. Generate reports with optional multi-language support (English, Chinese, Malay, Tamil).
How we built it
Frontend: Built with React.js for an intuitive and responsive dashboard experience. Backend: Developed using Node.js and Express to efficiently manage tasks, meetings, and notifications. Database: PostgreSQL, chosen for its scalability and reliability in data storage. AI Features: Natural Language Processing (NLP) for email summarization and AI-generated reports. An AI-powered chatbot for task and meeting management through voice or text commands. Open API to provide chatbot and summary functions, enhancing extensibility and usability.
Challenges we ran into
AI-driven task automation – Training the model to extract meaningful insights from emails and assign follow-ups intelligently. Real-time scheduling – Managing availability and conflicts dynamically. Optimizing multi-language support – Implementing seamless translation for reports and system UI.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
