Inspiration

I was making a playlist for a party and researching my friends likes on Facebook and Spotify when I realized how useful it would be to have an app do so automatically.

What it does

Generates playlists based on common musical interests. It finds common interests by comparing

How I built it

I built it with React/SQLite/Express/Passport/socket.io on the backend and

Challenges I ran into

I struggled with this one finicky variable for two hours before I realized I had overwritten with an undefined variable by putting it in the arguments to that function

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of creating a piece of software in 24 hours that I have put off for more than a year

What I learned

I learned a ton about React even though I fell back into dirty vanilla Javascript habits in the end

What's next for Drumcircle

I probably need to refactor it and integrate socket.io with React better
