Inspiration

We took inspiration from facebook marketplace and shopee

What it does

Our page allows users to interact by writing their thoughts and comments on the main page. The users can also write comments on the product page about the item itself, and it will notify the user once an item is added to the wishlist.

How we built it

We created this application using the MERN stack and a few additional add-ons

Challenges we ran into

With the MERN stack being a novelty to us, we struggled with querying the data from the backend to get it to be displayed in the frontend

What we learned

We managed to better understand the MERN framework and gained a deeper understanding of how social commerce affects the purchasing choices of the public.

What's next for duffy

We aim to improve on our current application by solidifying the sharing function as well as the rating button.

Disclaimer

Our group had a late start on the project, hence the current product of our efforts can be seen in the video example. We strive to continue this project even though the deadline for the hackathon will be ending. We'll be brainstorming new ideas to be implemented along there way.
