Inspiration
We had the idea to create an app that makes learning anything completely free for everyone (with human interaction), our mission is to connect you with the right person, to exchange skills, and make lifelong friends!
What it does
DuoLearn's flagship feature is to connect you to the right person to learn the skill you wish to master, and vice versa - both of you teach the other something to keep it free! We have designed DuoLearn to be very easy to use and accessible. Some of its other features include: Chat: the option to ask doubts to either AI, or any real human. You would want to ask and answer questions, because they give you XP (experience points) and move you up the leaderboard! We are planning to, in the future, record and store (locally or on the cloud), your sessions (with permission), for later use, and to be understood by AI, and provide a good chat experience. In the future, we plan to work with major corporations, and help you put your XP on your resume (more XP = even better job opportunities), to encourage people to learn more, and to help people be more efficient.
How we built it
We brainstormed to find good ideas related to the prompt, and had a few good ideas - one was a skill sharing idea, and the other was learning more hobbies and upskilling with AI, in the end, we decided to combine the two! One of us coded the app, while the other designed the UI and UX. We split the load evenly, and finally collaborated to bring the two elements together. We fixed bugs, and design errors, and finally, we had our working prototype. We built up on this, and thought of more features (that are coming later).
Challenges we ran into
Multiple bugs, making tkinter work with svgs, Figma API, finding good colors, and the environment, and of course, time.

Our easy to use UI, and the idea - to make learning free and accessible to all!
What we learned
We learned that tkinter is a good library for Python, how to use good color palettes for the design, and make the code neat and readable.
What's next for DuoLearn
As mentioned previously, we plan to collaborate with companies to help them promote resumes of people with more XP.
