Inspiration

Kwizera Augustin is a skilled local carpenter from Ruhango District. A father of two daughters, he has practiced carpentry since the age of 20, inspired by his father. Despite his dedication and craftsmanship, Augustin struggles to sell his work due to limited access to buyers and competition from cheaper, mass-produced alternatives. His dream is top provide better opportunities for his children, but financial constraints hold him back.

What it does

E-nganzo is a digital platform that connects artists with buyers, enabling them to showcase and sell handmade and digital art, engage directly with buyers and build a loyal community, use a flexible pricing model where buyers can pay what they can afford, with a set minimum price.

How we built it

E-nganzo is built using: React.js for web and React Native for mobile, Node.js and Express.js for Backend, Supabase for database, mobile money APIs and Stripe integration, AI-powered recommendation system, Secure authentication and

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring seamless Mobile Money integration across different networks, Designing a pricing model that benefits both artists and buyers Didn't manage to fully implement the platform's backend integration within the time given
