Inspiration

Our journey with e-Tuze was sparked by a collective passion within our diverse team to challenge the prevailing negative perception surrounding mental health. Witnessing the entrenched stigma attached to seeking help, we were inspired to create a solution that would refute misinformation and provide tangible support.

What it does

e-Tuze, a web application, serves as a beacon of hope and understanding. Built with React.js for the frontend and Firebase for the backend, the functional prototype is designed to break down barriers preventing individuals from seeking help. It acts as an educational hub, offering accessible mental health support and connecting users with licensed practitioners.

How we built it

Our team combined the expertise of mental health professionals, tech enthusiasts, and advocates to craft e-Tuze. Leveraging technologies like React.js and Firebase, we optimized development, utilizing Firebase Cloud Functions to expedite our work within a tight timeline. The collaborative effort focused on creating a user-friendly interface that caters to the needs of individuals struggling with mental health.

Challenges we ran into

Overcoming societal stigma proved to be an uphill battle, challenging prejudiced viewpoints. The development process, with its inherent complexities, tested our resilience. Time constraints forced us to strategize, leading to the strategic use of Firebase Cloud Functions to speed up our work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our proud accomplishment lies in the creation of a functional prototype that stands as a testament to our dedication. The website, accessible to anyone with an internet connection, marks a significant step in democratizing mental healthcare.

What we learned

The e-Tuze journey provided profound insights into the complexities of mental health. Technologically, we learned to optimize our workflow by combining React.js, Firebase, and innovative cloud functions. The challenges encountered strengthened our team's resolve, teaching us the value of persistence in the face of societal stigma and development hurdles.

What's next for E-tuze

As we look to the future, the next phase involves testing our web application on the market and envisioning a more sophisticated and user-friendly app. The profit model, centered around subscription fees, reflects our commitment to sustainability. We plan to engage with institutions offering mental health assistance and organize awareness campaigns in various settings to ensure e-Tuze reaches those who need it most. Our journey continues as we strive to break down stigmas, bridge minds, and foster a healthier, more connected tomorrow.
