Inspiration

We were inspired by the urgent need for accessible climate education for young people worldwide.
With the climate crisis escalating, we wanted to turn awareness into action using AI, gamification, and interactive learning. 🌏💡
Our goal: Make climate literacy fun, engaging, and measurable.

What it does

  • Personalized AI Chatbot Tutor 🤖: Answer questions about climate change, quizzes, and storytelling adventures.
  • Carbon Footprint Calculator 🌱: Calculates your impact based on daily habits and provides actionable suggestions.
  • Gamified Eco-Challenges 🏆: Weekly tasks like “Bike to school” or “Plant a tree” with points, badges, and leaderboards.
  • Community Dashboard 📊: Real-time climate data, interactive charts, and visual simulations using NASA and IPCC datasets.
  • Voice + Multilingual Support 🗣️🌐: Accessible for underserved communities with low literacy or language barriers.

How we built it

Frontend: Next.js + React + TailwindCSS for Apple-like UI/UX, responsive and modern design.

  • Backend: FastAPI + Supabase (database + auth)
  • AI Integration:
    • GPT-4o-mini → chatbot tutor and personalized quizzes
    • Hugging Face ML → carbon footprint estimation
    • NASA API → real-time climate visualizations
  • Deployment: Vercel (frontend) + Render/Heroku (backend)
