What it does

EcoBack tracks how sustainable your day-to-day shopping is. If you buy more sustainable products you gain more points. You can compare yourself to your friends and see who shops in the most sustainable way. You can get vouchers from supermarkets for shopping sustainable. Vouchers stimulate people who aren't attracted to save carbon dioxide in their everyday life.

Gamification

Our Leaderboard shows how good your shopping-routine is compared to your friends.

How we built it

EcoBack is a web application relying on Vue.JS as framework. We jointly built EcoBack over the online IDE repl.it, wich is also the hoster.

Challenges we ran into

All team members had very different previous experience in various technologies. In the end we chose Vue.JS as our framework, due to the experience of one of our team member.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Were proud of our concept, because we think that this service could make a real impact. Also we think it's a great accomplishment to create a good prototype in such a short period of time.

What we learned

The majority of our team members learned how to build a web-application with Vue.JS. We also learned a lot about cleanIT and the impact of different products.
