Inspiration At the intersection of technology and economics lies the potential to create solutions that shape the world—and that’s what inspired us, the OneBitCoders, to dive headfirst into this economics hackathon. What started off as six freshmen brainstorming a diverse range of ideas has steadily consolidated into Economix.
What it does Economix is your go-to platform for making informed financial decisions with ease. Here's how it helps users:
Tax Calculator: Simplifies tax planning by providing accurate estimations based on your income and deductions. FD Calculator: Quickly calculates returns on fixed deposits, helping users plan their investments effectively. Money Converter: Offers real-time currency conversion, ensuring smooth financial transactions across borders. Retirement Planner: Helps users map out their future by estimating savings and investments needed for a comfortable retirement. Unemployment Calculator: Assists in evaluating the current scenario of unemployment rate across various states in different parts of India true real time data. Event Calculator: Ensures seamless budgeting for events by breaking down costs and assistance through graph.
How we built it Economix is built using HTML, CSS , JavaScript, jQuery, Geojson and Leaflet library. Where HTML provides the structure , CSS is used to design the website, JavaScript and jQuery are used to implement logic and functionality of the calculators , Geojson and Leaflet library are used to fetch data.
Challenges we ran into We had to go through a thorough research in the recent market trends, exsisting issues and have also analyzed the problems faced by users in handling their financial matters.
Integrating real-time data proved challenging, especially when ensuring accuracy and reliability. We also faced the pressure of time constraints and have tried to innovate at our best without compromising quality.
Accomplishments that we're proud of One of our greatest accomplishments are the skills that we have acquired while creating this project. Secondly we have also strengthened our teamwork and have learned to uplift each other, work cohesively as a team, have developed a deep appreciation about each others qualities and compromise with individual weak points.
What we learned This website is not just our ticket to a hackathon, rather it has been instrumental in sharpening our skills, upgrading our problem solving stamina and made OneBitCoders into a cohesive team of passionate coders. Economix has helped us to upgrade our skills on various frontend languages like html, css and javascipt and technologies like API.

We gained insights into economic modeling, data analysis, and how technology can serve as a bridge between theory and practice.
