Inspiration

The theme of growth lead us into thinking about how populations can grow and how that can have knock-on effects for other organisms/populations

What it does

Shows a graph of the populations of different organisms in an ecosystem over time, based on a set of initial conditions like how many plants a moose eats per unit time, etc.

How we built it

We built it using Streamlit as a front end and generic python modelling in the back end!

Challenges we ran into

Populations kept making themselves extinct by driving their food sources to extinction

Accomplishments that we're proud of

That it works! We managed to finish the basic two organism graph this morning, (sunday) and managed to add in two predators as well, one of which being humans

What we learned

How easy it is for populations to make themselves extinct, and how hard it is to accurately model it

What's next for Ecosystem Simulator

Challenges competed in

We are competing for the Streamlit challenge, people's choice, new hackers, best use of Github, hackiest hack
