Inspiration
We are inspired by how education inequality is still felt across the country. As youths, we feel like we are privileged to have such a good education. However, there are still kids out there waiting for miracle in their lives. With this, we are building something that can help the decision makers to create a better future for our country's education system, infrastructure, and budgeting strategy.
What it does
EdQuity is able to map out the current condition of Indonesia's teachers, students, infrastructures, budget allocations, and then create a recommendation on which part still needs improvements, develop an Agent-Based Modelling that can help visualize the impact if the recommendations are implemented, as well as the budget calculator for the government.
How we built it
We built it on Nextjs and Tailwind, using Oasis as framework for the agent based modelling, and using machine learning to predict economical condition, and store the databases in supabase postgresql.
Challenges we ran into
The data are sometimes hard to get, and the very limited time has really become a very huge challenge for us to be able to come up with a full established solution by the deadline.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
To be able to address our concerns towards Indonesia's education system and implement it into a whole complete website is already such a big accomplishments for us that we have never thought we are able to do before.
What we learned
We learned that as youths, having a heart for the country is so important because the future is within our hands. But also through this hackathon, we really are pushed to value our time, and to understand how time management can change everything.
What's next for EdQuity
We are hoping that this doesn't stop here but can be established and enhanced further.
