Inspiration
Currently, the State Department's interactive map does not encourage active learning for students. This is due to the current map not actively engaging students in a way that promotes learning. By gamifying this map, students will get a better understanding of U.S. Diplomacy and it's effect on their everyday lives.
What it does
Allows for students to both explore an interactive map and learn interesting diplomacy facts about several states, while also be challenged in a quiz about U.S. Diplomacy
How we built it
We used the Google Charts with HTML and CSS languages for creating the maps and interface. The Sketch program was used for graphics
Challenges we ran into
Understanding how to have a good UX with the data given. Understanding the Google Charts API and applying it to the HTML and CSS languages
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As a group we are able to utilize everyone's talents and work as a team. Because of this, we created a final product that we are proud of.
What we learned
We learned how to best communicate as a team when learning front-end development together
