Inspiration
According to recent studies, humans produce 2.6 trillion pounds of trash per year. After it’s collected trash tends to be sent to landfills (which ultimately will be burnt, resulting in greenhouse gas being released contributing to global warming). In light of the repercussions of destroying garbage with fire, we - as a society must not forestall and take actions right away. That being said, our team has decided to create our own website for the purpose of helping people locate recycling businesses with ease.
What it does
Our page consists of 4 pages, the first introducing our website, the second informing people on what can be recycled and how to recycle them, and the third and fourth containing recycling facilities in New York City and California.
Why we chose NYC and California to start off
- Both states are among the most populated states in the USA (Top 10)
- Both are among the best US States considering recycling performance
- Among the states with the most recycling facilities
How we built it
Unfortunately, as our knowledge of code is limited, we used Wix to construct our Website.
What's next for ELITE RECYCLING
In the future, we will update our website to put in more locations in other places as well as in other countries aiming towards a wider range of audience. Moreover, we plan on putting in a feature for people to comment on to give people advice before traveling to recycling facilities such as where to park, when is the best time to go, etc.
