Inspiration for the problem you are addressing? We thought that recently there has been a lot of news about domestic violence and there should be an app that should fix this problem. This is why we thought of solving this problem because we wanted to fix a problem that has been increasing over a recent period of time.

How does your project positively impacts teenagers? Many teenagers encounter domestic violence and they don’t know what to do so with this very simple app, teenagers can easily access help as well as feel protected.

What are your Project Features? Texting friend and people nearby that you are in need to help. The text includes the location of the user and a help message. They can also call the police and the National Domestic Violence Hotline if they choose to.

What did you use to build your project? (language, API's, libraries, etc) We used MIT App Inventor.

Any problems encountered? In our app, we wanted to have our app alert others in the area, but later we found out that we cannot tackle this problem in these 12 hours with the amount of materials provided. We solved it by heeding the advice of one of the mentors and just treating it as a prototype.

What have you learned? We learned that if you set your mind to something, anything is possible. You just need the right people and all the hard work from all the team members. We also learned that we can stay up the entire night with the right amount of food and caffeine.
