Inspiration -

We realized how much the cosmetics, skincare and haircare products we use on a daily basis, harm the environment and wanted to do something about it. Hence the idea of Envirometics was born

What it does -

Our website provides information about how each of these cosmetic, skincare and haircare products adversely affect the environment. It also offers the users with natural, ecofriendly and easy-to-make alternatives for these products.

How we built it -

We've built Envirometics with the use of an online web builder app called "Wix". Over the course of estimated 5-6 hours.

Challenges we ran into -

As this is our first hackathon, we've tried our best and put in 100% of the effort. But we often ran into a few challenges now and then. One of them was graphics. Putting similar types of graphics together is an important component of a good website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of -

We take great pride in the fact that we were able to develop our website within this short time period and hope to join many more hackathons to gain further experience

What we learned -

One of the most exciting parts of making this website was the research we undertook relating to the products that our website currently focuses one. We learnt a great deal of information about the negative effects of said products on the environment. Learning about the alternatives for these products was also extremely beneficial for us and we will strive to implement these alternatives in our daily lives.
