Inspiration

Many beginners face the issue of learning new concepts in stock market. Moreover, due to inadequate trading experience they make huge losses and many of them even don't get enough time to analyse stock market data on an end of day basis which is an important activity. So, we provide an end to solution to solve this issue.

What it does

1) Learning Path :

It helps the beginners to acquire knowledge about Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis and Data Analysis of Stock Market.

2) Strategies :

Provides user with strategies to trade in Nifty Options to gain practical trading experience.

3) Options Dashboard :

Provides summarised data for Nifty 50 stocks on EOD basis.

How we built it

We used ICICI Breeze Connect API to get live stock market data and implemented the low risk low reward strategy of Intraday Breakout in Nifty and made a REST API of the same which is implemented in the frontend as shown. Moreover, we also build an API to analyse Nifty 50 Stock's Future's Open Interest.

Challenges we ran into

We faced the main challenge of finding a resource to get live stock market data without any delay for the Indian Equity Markets and also faced issue in integrating the web sockets for the same in the backend code for API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have made an end to end solution where users can learn, gain practical experience and view stock market data.

What we learned

We learned a lot about how Indian Equity markets along with the implementation of Django APIs and React Apps.

What's next for Equity Decoded

We plan to bring a backtesting feature in the project where users can test the accuracy of their strategies.
