Inspiration
We were inspired by the various ESL learners at our schools whom struggle to learn English in a fun environment.
What it does
Our module gives a two-letter hint to the user, and asks for the user to come up with an English word that contains those two letters in a row.
How we built it
We started off by writing the basic code in Python. Once we finished, we used HTML and the Django framework to create the website.
Challenges we ran into
In the process of developing the website portion, we used the Django framework. However, we were not able to start the code without the first input being a NoneType.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the website feature we made, along with the functionality of our original code, and the Figma prototype of the design for our app.
What we learned
We learned how to incorporate frameworks into our code, as well as how to code a website in HTML.
What's next for ESLearning
We plan to incorporate a translator that allows the user to read the definition of the word in their language.
