Inspiration
Our ideas came about from our interest in the economy (Sarah), to work on a resource project (David), and to do good in the community (Tuzette). We wanted to combine all of the track topics and incorporate Social Good, Health, and Sustainability. Frogs are a symbol of wealth in China, so we chose that as our brand mascot.
What it does
Our application reads and saves user data on their financial spending to make simulations that predict their future monetary use. It is easy for the user to interpret their financial spending data so that people from all walks of life are able to use it.
How we built it
To build our program we used the languages HTML, CSS, Javascript, and others on Visual Studio Code in order to launch our program as a webpage on a browser. Sarah used Medibang to digitally produce assets like the logo and background art. Tuzette used Coolors to come up with the color palette. David used Algomusic to create music for our site with algorithms that randomly generated it.
Challenges we ran into
We had problems actually getting the buttons to work, pictures to appear on the site, and implementing the logic of our simulations and program.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our concept idea, logo, and the effect this application would have on the community.
What we learned
We learned that actually implementing a program for our ideas is harder than it sounds and that we were limited in terms of time and experience with the various programs.
What's next for ESOSE
In the future, we want to let people use their resources more efficiently so there is less waste and for currency exchange to reach countries all over the planet.
