Inspiration

At office 3 years ago, while I was a full stack php developer, I was always encouraged by my manager to take symfony certification. I was new to the career, I had then 1 year and half experience and fully demonstrated my abilities to the best to the team and client. However I never had time to practice out of work, there was no cheap platform to practice on. And aside from what I knew back about symfony, the only solution remained was sensiolab e-learning platform, which was expensive for the limitations it offers. And the company I was in didn't have any kind of helping platform that'll help preparing for certifications, aside from subscription to udemy, pluralsight, degreed, etc which at most offers only courses with little interactions.

A year later, after hardly preparing, I find myself failing the symfony certification. It was frustating, but I wasn't alone, there were people who succeeded their certifications, and others didn't. The reasons mainly are related to "no accompagniement" and "not enough time", they are other reasons aswell ...

After AI emerging, and especially after I have found bolt in mai of this year, I hesitated, I had multiple choices: bolt, lovable, rork... and then last week, I decided to give it a go. The certification frustation was deep and I wanted and dreamed to make an ai driven platform, that will help employees to fully prepare their certifications, correctly, accurately, with a good price/value.

The start was good, I took it slowly, like for 10 hours, and then 2 days before hackaton deadline, I find out that there is a hackaton.

What it does

Exelioris is an innovative e-learning platform dedicated to empowering professionals in their pursuit of technical certifications. Our mission is to provide a highly effective, personalized, and data-driven learning experience that simplifies the complex journey of exam preparation

The key features:

How we built it

I have built it mainly using bolt, some bug corrections that bolt wasn't enable to correct were corrected by deepseek, but a few errors. For the database I use Supabase, and Render as the deploiment environnement

Challenges we ran into

Most challenges were about RLS policies in supabase, which wasn't generated accurately by bolt. Deploing a react/express app was the first time for me, and it was done successfully

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Very proud that I have been able to build the core functiunalities of this application, and the dream doesn't look that far at all. Starting the project to its current status is actually a very big accomplishement.

What we learned

Consistency, and as a software enginner, this next era will be fully, driven by ai. So once shouldn't miss the opportunity

What's next for Exelioris

Fixing remaining bugs, to stabilise the application Adding a lot of contents for differents certifications, subjects Generating questions, and study guides via AI, based on latests documentations Adding an AI assistant that'll help track, monitor and optimise the user experience and multiple planning assistance
