Inspiration
Budget Buddy draws some inspiration from Alexa! The goal of this project was to make it easy to add entries into an expense manager. Imagine entering your expense into an application just by saying a few words! Wouldn't that be awesome and hassle free!
What it does
Budget Buddy lets users manage their expenses just by saying a few words. The user can add expenses or an income into the system by using the voice add functionality. The expense and income visualisation get updated realtime as and when the user makes an entry to the platform. The user can also make manual enteries into the system. The data is persistant and the user does not lose any of their entries even if the reload the platform
How I built it
The platform is built using NodeJs and ReactJS. It uses Speechly to provide voice support. ** The App is deployed using GCP APP ENGINE **
Challenges I ran into
Integrating speechly into the React project was challenging but I am glad I could see it through!
Accomplishments that I am proud of
Completing a fully functional project before the deadline feels great!
