Inspiration

What it does

It onboards the drivers authorized by the government and helps them follow a standardized way of pricing avoiding any bargaining.

How we built it

We built it using ReactJS and Tailwind CSS, we have used Distance Matrix API to calculate the distance between two points and have implemented a formula that calculates prices based on the distance, traffic, weather, etc.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge while building it was finding the Distance Matrix APIs free version and implementing MapBox.

While building this we learned about ReactJs, Tailwind CSS, Distance Matrix API, Mapbox.

What's next for Fair Fare

We plan to work with the government to implement our idea and extend this project for car pooling as well while making use of user diagnostics of the driver and rating them to ensure the safety of the passenger. This would also help in reducing pollution and traffic on the roads which is a measure problem these days.
