Inspiration
It's not feasible to have an up close and personal discussion with each customer who enters the quick service restaurant For a really long time, restaurants have utilised remark cards or relied on online reviews which tends to be for more disgruntled customers who are frustrated and this is their only outlet. Presently, innovation offers more viable ways to capture information rapidly and effectively. The idea is to use a game inspired by Tamagotchi to encourage customer feedback in present time and overall increase customer engagement. The game is currently called Feed Gotchi but can be customised for the restaurant depending on mascot/brand.
What it does
On entering the restaurant customers scan a QR code by the door, the game starts and they can birth a character while they wait in line to get a receipt/ or access the QR code on the bag with their food/ from server. Once they receive a receipt/QR code, they can unlock the review questions to feed the FeedGotchi character/restaurant mascot. They unlock the ability to feed the character by answering questions, each category opens based on a pre-determined amount of time based off a general user experience time in the establishment or if they got a takeaway. So general questions available first i.e. How often do you visit our restaurant? How likely are you to return? How likely are you to recommend our restaurant to a friend?
Then after the predetermined food preparation time i.e 10mins the food and drink category unlocks. What did you like about the menu? What did you dislike about the menu? Is there anything you would like to see on the menu? Was the preparation of your meal satisfactory? If you have dietary restrictions, did the restaurant accommodate those needs? After another 20mins E.T.C for Customer service questions, Facilities questions and whatever the restaurant want to capture from the customer the categories unlock.
Customers receive 1 apple to feed Gotchi for each question answered.
After one hour or the usual time for the customer to have finished their experience. The customer can't answer review questions in those categories. in order to keep playing they have to scan the receipt to put the Gotchi in play mode only to earn apples to feed it and keep it happy. Or it enters only play mode and the Gotchi has to survive on the apples you earned until your next visit. If the Gotchi is awake the next time they visit they could receive a reward otherwise it starts over. Quick service restaurants can add bonus questions such as to get customer feedback after an hour: How can we better serve you in the future? What was your favourite part of your experience?
