Inspiration
Our inspiration was helping people understand different disabilities. Our team has a passion for providing people who wanted to help with the ability to learn what to do. Additionally, we found it increasingly important to simply raise awareness about the struggles those with special needs go through.
What it does
Our project is a storyboard game that gives options to understand the different physical, social, and mental disabilities that make life hard for those with special needs.
How we built it
Through our extensive work in python, we were able to create this app using Jupyter Software. Moreover, we used the ideas collected from workshops and our personal education to support our hacks production.
Challenges we ran into
When developing, we struggled coming up with our main idea due to disagreements and questions on how best to accomplish our hopes.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that even with little developmental knowledge on coding and website design we were able to bring our idea to fruition.
What we learned
We learned that teamwork and the reliance on others for support and guidance can be a great addition to our own personal abilities.
What's next for ABLE
Expansion internationally, implementation into schools and the conversion from the mock website to a real website is our great hope for ABLE.
