Inspiration
Web2 digital content market is out of date and the Web3 NFT industry is focused mostly on Degens and speculation. Time to merge the concepts and provide 100% privacy, interoperability, transparent history, and a secondary market to the classic digital creators.
What it does
EFT protocol allows users to attach encrypted content to an NFT and transfer the rights by selling or gifting the NFT. FileMarket SDK allows users to launch their own NFT shop to start trading hidden digital content or any kind of data in a secure and decentralized way.
How we built it
We decided to create our own EFT collection - FileBunnies as a Filecoin Ecosystem cross-marketing campaign and an engagement campaign for our community. We deployed FileMarket to the FVM MainNet on May the 4th (be with you) and since then we have been working on our SDK and the EFT collection.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was to make sure our users will be able to get access to their encrypted data from any device and therefore we have developed the FileWallet, which stores all the keys to all encrypted data. Users may use their additional mnemonic phrase to restore access from other devices.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have created a list of 135 projects which are active in Filecoin's ecosystem and partnered up with 30 projects, which are providing special bonuses to FileBunnies holders.
What's next for FileMarket
Our main goal is to release our visual constructor by the end of the year, so FileMarket could become not only a dev tool (SDK), but also a user tool to easily and quickly launch an NFT shop for any kind of content or data.
