Inspiration
I have been a part of Spark AR community [for Instagram and Facebook filters] for a long time and sometimes people ask what is the point if we are not getting the much needed recognition in the platform? and here I am at Selfie hacks by MLH which provided the perfect opportunity I needed to showcase my skills to distinguish filter creators and other users.
Filtered can be considered as an addon providing a whole different place for AR filter makers for Instagram get the reach, recognition and appreaciation for their work. Just a single badge in front of your name can make the profile stand out from the crowd.
What it does
Filtered is a new website which allows filter creators and users to together grow advantaging each other by sharing ideas, support and feedbacks.
Benefits for Creators
- Build your own Community
- Gain more reach no matter who you are
- Get an exclusive badge to verify as a creator
Benefits for Users
- Show your appreciations and give feedback
- Early Access to filters by your favourite creators
- Find awesome unique filters and scan QR code for easy access
How I built it
Currently Filtered is a prototype made in figma which has tons to come in future
Challenges I ran into
Joining this hackathon solo slowed me down. While learning more about ui/ux and making a beautiful prototype I was not able to make a responsive website for Filtered
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Not a lot but being my first proper hackathon this meant a lot for me. I am also giving a pat on my back because I came up with the whole thing and it's not winning that matters :)
What I learned
Tons. Making ui/ux without having the whole knowledge is tough. Keeping in mind about the empty spaces, colours, font style was a lot.
What's next for Filtered
Again Tons of new things can be added:
- Finding a way so that a certain creators can start to earn with this
- Coding a responsive website (html,css)
- Better interface and more options to click on
P.S i wanted to buy godaddy (donotphotobomb.us) but i didn't have a card so :( didn't buy it
Built With
- figma
- ui/ux
