Inspiration

A school club was having difficulty getting the community to join their bay clean up event. We decided to create this app to help anyone start a local environmental movement/event

What it does

It allows users to create and sign up to events. It does this by displaying events on Google Maps that corresponds to the address that users entered.

How we built it

We used React for the frontend and NodeJS for the backend. We also connected to the Google API to allow for the map to be created and manipulated.

Challenges we ran into

Getting the map itself to work was very difficult. We had to overlay pins and events in the designated locations properly. Also, user auth was very difficult to manage.

2. How to manage user auth ## What's next for Findsy Adding a few more features including messaging participants. Also cleaning up some of the user auth and launching it to the community!
