Inspiration

Fit2U was born from a simple idea: fashion should be effortless, personal, and sustainable. We saw a problem—people spend too much time picking outfits, struggle to find clothes that truly fit, and often let great pieces go to waste. With fast fashion contributing to pollution and overflowing closets filled with unworn items, we knew there had to be a better way.

What it does

That’s why we created Fit2U—a smart styling assistant that not only helps you curate the perfect wardrobe but also makes shopping smarter and more sustainable. Our Style & Swap feature gives clothes a second life, reducing waste while connecting people within their communities. Our smart shopping tool ensures that new purchases truly fit your style, budget, and existing wardrobe. We believe that fashion should work for you—not the other way around. By combining personalization, sustainability, and convenience, we aim to transform how people shop, style, and swap for a future where looking good doesn’t come at the cost of the planet.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was developing an system that understands personal style by using colors and categories. Additionally, ensuring a smooth user experience while incorporating multiple features—styling, shopping, and swapping—meant optimizing the app’s interface for both functionality and simplicity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud to have created a platform that merges sustainability with convenience, offering users an effortless way to dress better while reducing fashion waste. Developing a smart shopping tool that helps users shop more consciously—by considering their existing wardrobe and ethical alternatives—is a major achievement. Most importantly, we built a community-driven solution where users can swap and donate items, giving fashion a second life.

What we learned

Throughout this journey, we learned the importance of balancing technology with user experience. Any piece of technology is only useful if it's intuitive and easy to use. We also gained valuable insights into the impact of fast fashion and the growing need for sustainable alternatives. User feedback played a crucial role in shaping Fit2U, showing us how essential personalization and inclusivity are in the fashion space.

What's next for Fit2U

We plan to expand Fit2U’s capabilities by integrating augmented reality (AR) to allow users to virtually try on clothes before purchasing. We’re also thinking about AI-driven sustainability insights, helping users track their fashion footprint and make even more conscious choices. In the future, we aim to partner with ethical brands and second-hand marketplaces to make sustainable shopping even more accessible. Our ultimate goal is to revolutionize the way people interact with their wardrobes—making fashion smarter, more sustainable, and effortlessly stylish.
