Flappy bird!
What it does
Make it through all obstacles successfully without touching anything.
How we built it
The project was built using Unity and its VR libraries.
Challenges we ran into
Half of us were new to unity, and all of us were new to working with VR. So it wouldn't be too far fetched to say that every step was a challenge.
Why we choose this project
To us, hackathons are all about challenging ourselves to creating, learning, and working on something fun. That way, regardless of the outcome of the competition, we would have earned something meaningful! In this case, we all created a game that we thought is very fun, and will be tremendously more fun once its polished and more obstacles are added.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Created our first (working) VR game!
What we learned
Unity, VR, Level designed, and a few useful life lessons...(don't drink energy drinks at 10pm).
What's next for flappy human
Flapping using motion sensing rather than buttons, power ups, more obstacles, polish up the game, multiplayer, leaderboards, and hopefully much more!
